Welcome to Mrs BR’s Tutor Station
Nicky Barron-Robinson delivers personalised tuition to children on a one to one basis and in small groups for those preparing to take the 11+ Examination. High quality sessions will support your child every step of the way along their learning journey.
Sessions are customised for those who may be bright and gifted, as well as those who find the demands of the primary curriculum a little more challenging. Mrs B-R provides a friendly and personal service and is here to help.
Learn
Reinforcing and extending learning from beyond the primary classroom in preparation for exam success. Coverage of Maths and English with an emphasis on arithmetic and problem solving as well as grammar, spelling and punctuation in written work.
Practice
Practice key aspects and questions; these are integrated into weekly sessions. Children also benefit from Autumn and Spring assessments plus regular practice papers in the Summer term to ensure that they have the tools required for their best chance of exam success.
Pass
Children experience exam practice sessions based on GL Assessment 11+ papers (used locally by the three grammar schools). This ensures that they are familiar with the style of the exam paper and supports their development of speed and accuracy.
